IZZY R one of Londons’ top session vocalists, has worked  with many well known performers: Jocelyn Brown, Jym Mazelle, Alexander O Neil, Lemar, Martha Reeves (The Vandelas), Sir Tom Jones, Annie Lennox and so many more in an established career. 

 

Izzy R aka Isabel Roberts has had several single dance releases "Rhythm of Your Love" reaches national charts in the late 80s, she was the featured vocalist on Ronny Jordans debut album The Antidote with Ghuru, has worked with Gil Scott-Heron, David Grant (X-Factor and Pop Idol) and released her own original solo Jazz album released in 1992 "Leave the Man Alone". She is a highly aclaimed Jazz and Soul Vocalist in Much demand. 

She performs as a solo artiste, with optional fuller band line up available: drums/percussion (Kofi Kari Kari played with Jamaraquai, Brand New Heavies to name a few), Drummer Frank Tontoh (played with everyone in the industry), Kevin Sutherland (keys - MD for Lemar and Craig David) and Scot Bayliss on trumpet, bass and lead guitar). The Izzy R band have the ability to be 5,6,7, up to 10 piece full band with brass section for bigger functions. The duet or trio line up is made up of either girl/boy vocals and instrumentalist of choice. 

IZZY is equally happy to play for smaller venues and parties or have the ability to play for large private functions and large outdoor arenas.  
 

Izzy R has extensively toured around all parts of the world; working at Ciros Piza Pomodoro in Kensington and sister restaurants in Cairo, Abu Dhabi, Lebanon, and Jordan as well as working in Puerto Buenous Spain and for various private parties and weddings in other parts of the world. In 2018 Izzy was the featured Headline act at the NEGRIL Jazz and Blues Festival in Jamaica, also supporting well known greats such as FREDDIE McGregor/Sanchez/Glen Washington and many more for a month at Marguieretas Hotel and Bar in Montego Bay. Izzys’  all round styles and musical experience solo, part of her band as a duet is extensive. 

Izzy R supplies a full PA rig and backline and lighting rig as required to take in small or larger venues. Izzy R (Isabel Roberts) is also able to provide full DJ  sets before, during or after the live show as part of the package and this can be factored into the overall price. She plays as a DJ at many nights also with featured DJ spots at Ministry of Sound and Throwbaack nights at the Collessium in London.

Essentially the band perform 2-3 x 45 min sets of live Soul, RnB, Motown, Jazz or Blues and reggae party tunes and sets to suit most age ranges and tastes taking in music from 60s right up to date, also can supply a dinner or wedding breakfast jazz set to suit those occasions.
