DJ DEVASTATE

DJ Devastate is one of founding members of the legendary UK Hip Hop group Demon Boyz. He  started Djing from an early age and quickly learnt the art of mixing and scratching. He was signed to Island Records and Music of Life Records which enabled me to tour America and Europe with the following artists: Salt N Pepper, Steele Pulse, Special Beat (The Beat and Specials combined), Juice Crew, NWA, DJ Mark the 45 King and Queen Latifa. 

 

He was also part of the Twilight  Firm production team and worked with the following artists: Caron Wheeler, Loose Ends, Nenah Cherry, Mica Paris, London Posse (Rodney P), Junior Giscome but to name a few. 

 

He currently DJs at Lizard Lounge (has been resident DJ for 10 years), Chipshop Brixton, Green Room and lots of private events. He has over 20 years  experience and uses all formats: Turntables, CDJs or Midi Controller. He has 2 KRK 12 inch speakers, 2 KRK Sub Woofer Speakers, 2 Technic turntables, Numark Midi Controller, disco lights, smoke machine and a Macbook Pro laptop.

 

He plays a mix of Hip Hop, Soul, Funk, Jazz, 80’s Soul, Boogie, Soulful House, Garage and anything in between that is funky! He is extremely versatile and has an extensive collection which enables him to also play Pop, Rock and Indie, Motown and Reggae.
